By analyzing customer trends, item valuations, and market dynamics, we can optimize our lending strategies, improve inventory management, and enhance customer experiences. Your role as a Data Analyst intern will contribute directly to these efforts, providing you with a unique opportunity to apply data analysis skills in a real-world context.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various teams to gather and consolidate data from multiple sources within the Pawn Broker
- Clean, validate, and transform data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Utilize SQL to query and manipulate data effectively.
- Assist in designing and maintaining dashboards and reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Identify trends, patterns, and insights through data analysis to support decision-making
- Contribute to creating visualizations and presentations to communicate findings effectively
- Participate in ad hoc analytical projects to address business challenges
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a data-related program such as Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
- Solid understanding of data analysis principles and techniques
- Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Proficiency in data manipulation tools and languages, such as Excel, Python, or R
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail
- Effective communication skills to convey complex insights to non-technical stakeholders
