We’re in search of a skilled data engineer to join our team and help enhance our data infrastructure, enabling us to better serve our customers and optimize our operations. Responsibilities:
- Manage and process large volumes of data using technologies like Apache Spark, Hive, and AWS S3.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to operationalize data pipelines and integrate machine learning models.
- Dive deep into various business verticals to become a subject matter expert within the company.
- Bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, effectively communicating complex concepts in simple terms.
- Contribute to the evolution of our data engineering architecture and practices, staying up-to-date with new technologies.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation while delivering impactful solutions to drive business growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL.
- 5+ years of experience with Python or another programming language.
- Background in ETL and data processing, with the ability to transform data to meet business objectives.
- Demonstrated ownership of projects at both technical and organizational levels.
- Eagerness to understand the broader business context and contribute to strategic initiatives.
- Enthusiasm for working with data and collaborating within a dynamic team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Extensive experience developing large-scale data processing pipelines with Apache Spark.
- Familiarity with traditional data warehousing concepts such as 3NF and dimensional modeling.
- Exposure to cloud platforms like Amazon AWS.
- Passion for continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies.
